First day, first answer to message board.

I was thrilled to figure out that I could actually find my way around the blackboard site. I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to figure out how to use blackboard. It seemed like it took me forever to find the bb page. I told my husband the biggest challenge would be my technological skills or the lack of them.
After I posted for my ECCE class, I noticed just a couple of word omissions and punctuation errors, and how did they get there? Maybe the send button messed it up. Other than that, this is what I have learned... I worry too much about the small stuff.

Don't worry, it gets better with time. I think every user probably goes through that awkward phase when we're learning something new or using something for the first time. It does get easier, though. While technology is great for introducing innovative gadgets, sometimes it makes me feel years above my age, lol. Some things I get right away and some I just sit and stare at it like "what am I supposed to do with this thing?", lol. Which ECCE class are you taking? Good luck to you in your class. Everything'll be fine!

Thanks. I hope it gets better, I guess my worst fear is skipping an assignment. There is so much more information on the blackboard than I was used to at SIC. I will just be very careful until I get the hang of it. My ECCE class is Internet and American Life. What ECCE classes have you taken? Did you enjoy one more than the other?

The Internet & American Life, huh??? Girrlll, I took that class my first semester back into UIS (fall 2007). It was one of the best classes that I've taken. I learned so much about the Internet that I didn't already know and had so much fun learning the material. It didn't hurt that I had a great professor teaching the class either. :) Her name is Mary Elizabeth Smith and she's awesome. Who do you have as your professor? I haven't taken too many ECCE courses so far because originally when I began UIS back in Spring 2005, the requirements were different, then just last semester they began changing over to ECCE and I'll be honest, I don't like the change, but what can a student do, ya know?!?! I'm currently taking two ECCE courses, one is Social Stratification and the other is Chemicals & the Citizen. Both seem very interesting. So far, so good! Let me know how your class progresses. I bid you peace & blessings this semester and hope that you have just as much fun as I did in your class.

jsgirl, I am taking The Internet & American Life now and it's great to hear how much you enjoyed it! I was going to take Chemicals and the Citizen but chose Environmental Health for ECCE instead...
