I am basking in delight and I wanna just drive!

I don't know about you, but I love that I can go to Evansville or Paducah and back and not spend more on fuel than I do on my purchases. I filled up my Escalade for $38.34 today. It was $1.87 a gallon. How long do you think it will last? I don't me to be skeptical, but I thought it was all political, and assumed right after the election it would rise.

Lol.....truthfully, I'm waiting on the other shoe to drop. My theory is that it'll remain low long enough to get through the holiday shopping season because they want more people to get out and spend lots of money on Christmas gifts, and then it'll most likely rise once again. My honey and I discuss this every year and just about every year we're proven right. I know one thing Beth, it sure feels good to spend about half on gas than we were spending in the past few months. :) I'm just as happy as you are and now "I wanna just drive", too! What would be even better is if the prices remained this low or even lower. Wishful thinking, right?!?!

Enjoy it while it lasts, lol.

I don't know but I'm assuming the price is a negative symptom with good consequences. It seems like it's just another symptom of a global economy that's hurting. People are spending less, driving less so demand has fallen which is sending the price down. I'd guess that when the economy starts moving, the price will start moving back up. The good side though is that we're spending less on gas and all of the things that need transported should cost less.

I just hope that we don't get comfortable with the price and forget that we need some solutions. We seem to prefer putting out fires rather than planning for the future.
